Do you know the legend of the Campanella? 🔔
Many know the "Campanella di Capri", but not everyone knows that, behind this precious lucky charm that is usually given to loved ones, there is an ancient legend, that of the Campanina di San Michele. ❤️

"On the island of Capri lived a shepherd boy, very poor and orphaned of a father, he didn't own any material goods except his little sheep. One evening, at dusk, he had stopped to pick some flowers and when he turned around to call the little sheep he could not find it anymore. Taken by desperation, however, he thought he heard a distant ringing and, thinking it was the sound of his sheep's bell, he went towards the tinkling. He ran barefoot among the brambles and on the stones until he reached on the edge of a ravine A sudden light dazzled him: it was St. Michael on his white horse.
"My child" said the saint taking off from his neck a bell that hung on his chest, "take it and always follow the sound it will save you from all danger".
The shepherd boy brought the gift to his mother and the bell came out of his pockets wrapped in the frame of a four-leaf clover. Since then his life changed forever and his every earthly desire was fulfilled."
On the site of the apparition of the Saint, Villa San Michele was built, now known throughout the world.
Since then the Bell of Capri has been a symbol of luck and happiness and legend has it that the Bell of Capri should be given as a gift to people who consider themselves truly special because, with each toll, every wish will come true. ❤️
